Degrees Offered

Students successfully completing the EXD Program may receive the Bachelor of Arts (BA) or the Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Students pursuing BS Degree will be required to complete Math 125 or higher. These degrees are awarded with an interdisciplinary Depth Study (concentration) in the area of the student's educational interest: Literature, Art & Society; Science, Technology and Culture; Community Studies; Leadership Studies; Self-Designed Concentration Option.

The External Degree Program differs in purpose, scope, and specificity from degrees designating professional certification. For this reason, no more than 30 semester hours of credit from a professional school (College/Schools of Engineering, Education, Business Administration, etc.) may apply toward a degree through the EXD Program. Specific educational requirements for professional goals, as well as graduate study plans, should be investigated and discussed with the EXD Program Admissions Coordinator prior to submitting an application.
