Security
In order to protect the personal information of students, the
University is moving away from using social security numbers
for student identification purposes. This summer, you should
have received a letter from the University with your eight
digit student number on it. It is critical that you keep
this number as you will need it to access many University
services such as tideguide. If you did not receive notification
of your new student number, you can go to https://bama.ua.edu/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/~acctweb/cwid.pl and find out what your number is (your pin number is the
one that you use for MyBama). If you have any questions,
please call our office at (205)348-6000.
