Enrolling Contracts

  1. Choose a contract from the Faculty Designed contract list. Download a copy for your files. This contract will have all information you need to begin work on the course. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEND A FACULTY DESIGNED CONTRACT IN TO EXD.
  2. Contact your advisor: Ana Schuber – aschuber@ccs.ua.edu; Sandra Perkins – sperkins@ccs.ua.edu; Kevin Thornthwaite – kthornthwaite@cs.ua.edu; or Lisa Young – lyoung@ccs.ua.edu
  3. Tell your advisor which contract you wish to enroll. Your advisor will “permit” you into the class and will send you an email with instructions on how to enroll and pay for the contract.
  4. Go online to MyBama.ua.edu and on the left hand side of the MyBama home page choose the tab that says “student”. On the “student” homepage, on the left-hand side of the screen choose the option “Student Services”. Once that opens, click on the heading “Registration” and under that heading click on “Add or Drop Classes”. Follow the instructions given to you by your advisor and insert the correct CRN (course reference number[s]) and follow through to register the class or classes that you have been permitted for.
  5. Once you have registered, you must then return to the “Student Services” heading and click on “Student Receivables” and then “View Your Account/Pay, Confirm Schedule.” At this site, you can pay for your contract(s) and confirm your schedule. You must confirm your schedule in order for the enrollment process to be complete.

  6. If you need to enroll a student designed contract or a senior project contract, you should prepare the contract using a blank EXD contract and send it in to your advisor at Box 870388, Tuscaloosa, Al. 35487-0388 to the attention of your advisor. Once it has been approved for enrollment, your advisor will contact you about online enrollment through the MyBama site.
